EXAMINATION SCHEDULE :
- Preliminary – ARS Examination – 2012 on 24.02.2013 (Sunday) from 02.00 pm to 04.00 pm.
- ARS – Main Examination – 2012 on 23.06.2013 (Sunday) from 10.00 am to 01.00 pm.
SELECTION PROCEDURE :
The Preliminary ARS Examination is a qualifying examination and its marks will not be carried forward for determining final merit of the candidates.
All those candidates desirous of appearing for ARS will have to take both the examinations and viva-voce …
Those who qualify in the Prelims will be eligible to attend the Mains/Main Examination ..
Based on the Marks in the Mains= Viva Voce = Final Merit List will be prepared…
ARS PRELIMS/ MAIN EXAM PATTERN :
- Preliminary-ARS (Objective Type) 150 Marks Total Duration – 2 hours
- ARS – Main (Descriptive Type) 240 Marks.. Total Duration – 3 hours
- Viva-voce – 60 Marks
Preliminary ARS Examination Paper :
Preliminary ARS Examination shall have one paper of 150 marks with all objective questions to be solved in 2 hours (Two hours), from the respective professional subject(s) for which candidate has opted.
ARS – Main Examination Paper :
ARS – Main Examination Paper will have only one paper of 240 marks to be completed in 3 hours duration. The paper shall be divided in three parts A, B and C.
Part „A‟ will consists of 40 (forty) questions of 2 (two) marks each. In this part, answers required will be of very short, not exceeding 10 (Ten) words at the most.
Part „B‟ will have 20 (twenty) questions of 5 (five) marks each requiring one or two paragraphs and/or graphic explanation. All questions in part „A‟ and „B‟ will be compulsory.
Part „C‟ will have 6 (six) essay type or descriptive type questions which are all compulsory. Each question will carry 10 (ten) marks and may have two or more parts.
Answers are required to be written in the space provided below the question. In no case extra sheets will be provided.
The candidates clearing Mains Examination will be called for Viva-voce in the ratio 1:5 subject to minimum 55% are obtained by General / OBC candidates and 50% marks are obtained by SC / ST / PC candidates in ARS Mains Examination (Subjective type)
Minimum Qualifying Marks :
General / obc Candidates
- For prelims – 60 % , For Mains – 55%
SC, ST, OBC :
- For prelims – 50% , For Mains – 50%
- 1/3 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer in Prelim ARS Examination (Objective Type).
