Read the article , if you have any doubts , we will clarify
1. The candidates will be allotted the Banks based on the Marks and Overall Rank
2. If Say for eg. the candidate is a 3rd ranker , he will be allotted banks after the merit candidates before him/ her are allotted banks.
3. Also the total no of OBC Posts is 6062 ..
If a candidate belongs to 6065 rank category wise OBC means, they think that they will not get a job .. Its not true
If a OBC Category candidate has opted for a Bank say Indian Bank and if he fits the Norms Marks and eligibility criteria set for the General Category , then he will take the General Seat even though he is from OBC
sO Automatically, a Extra OBC Seat is there or otherwise, the candidate who has 6063 Category rank will get allotted int a Bank based on his / her order of preference
5. The Bank Allotment Order Result, Final List of Bank Allotment order will be made through Order of preference and the Final List will be disclosed with in the end of the March month
6. The Date of Joining and Appointment letter will be disclosed by the respective banks
7. Also if a candidate has been allotted a Bank and he / she is not willing to join the Bank, the Seats will be filled up by the Candidate in the waiting List who belongs to the same category
Also No need to worry more about the Bank Allotment process, the candidates will be made aware the allotment order list and Procedure in detail after the Final Allotment List of Banks have been published
There has been more transparency and the IBPS is striving hard continuously to implement a better Recruiting System and Lets leave the rest to them

Plz clear my doubt. If OBC category candidate has marks greater than a general candidate & OBC reserved seats are not filled than he will get the seat in the OBC category or in the general category?

Yes u have chances.. If the SC candidates who rank before you take the seats of General ( in which case they should have marks prescribed for the general category ) , then you will be allotted into a bank

Hi I have a score of 61% and belong to general category.
A friend of mine from SC category got the mail today from IBPS and it stated that he has got selected in PNB the very first preference he had given but I have not received any mail yet.
Is it a ongoing process and final details has not been furnished yet and we can still bank upon hopes that we will be selected or all the mail have been sent today and no further mails will be sent now.
Kindly advise some and throw some light on it.
